More recently, 1996, Blindajes Alemanes was established in Latin America with technical assistance and engineering support from Wendler. This transfer of 'expertise' enabled Blindajes Alemanes to adapt and perfect its product line to meet the specific needs of the Latin American market.

In 1998 Blindajes Alemanes, Wendler de Mexico and Wendler GmbH (Germany) joined forces to create the WBA (Wendler Blindajes Alemanes) trademark. The combined experience and engineering expertise has enabled WBA to become one of the leading international firms involved in security and vehicle armoring. As a by-product of this union, AUTO SAFE was spawned. At this moment, AUTO SAFE operates primarily in the Latin American market providing light armor kits and assembly.

WBA is a supplier to the US Government, United Nations, foreign governments, political institutions and private - corporate enterprises around the world. WBA is one of the very few armoring firms working directly with several OEMs.

WBA, with production plants and distributions centers in Argentina, Brazil, Columbia, Germany, Jordan and Mexico, armors over 1,000 units every year. WBA is also expanding its worldwide presence to provide maintenance and service support on a recurring basis and by specific region(s).
